The Anchorstone Water Taxi is a new service we are very excited to offer for the 2018 summer season.
The Anchorstone Water Taxi is owned and run by Buddy who is the son of the Chef and owner of the Anchorstone Cafe. Having lived in the village of Dittisham his whole life and being brought up on the River Dart as a young child you will be hard pushed to find a more knowledgeable skipper.
The boat ‘Little Pip’ named after Buddy’s daughter Pippa is a beautiful Maritime 21 which is licenced to carry 10 passengers. Its got to be the perfect way on a sunny summers day to visit TheAnchorstone Cafe and the village of Dittisham.
Buddy will be offering a direct ferry service from Dittisham To Dartmouth every day of the week on a time table. The first ferry will depart from Dittisham pontoon at 9.45am and will returnevery hour. He can be found on the South Embankment by the Boat Hire in Dartmouth by the double steps. First ferry will depart from Dartmouth 10.15am and will return every hour until 6.15pm.
Late night Ferry service available from 7pm-10pm, so if your staying in Dittisham and fancy enjoying one of the many fantastic restaurants in Dartmouth of an evening then why not avoid driving, relax and travel by water?
A booking office is available from 9am onwards up within the Anchorstone Cafe in Dittisham making it easy to book your ferry while making a reservation at the cafe or please do call the skipper direct on 07947754345 at any time.
Please note we are only able to accept cash payment for ferry fares at the cafe and aboard the boat.
We are the only ferry service on the Dart to operate after 5pm. We also offer trips to Stoke Gabriel, the Malsters Arms in Tuckenhay and Sharpham please contact Buddy for trip enquiries and bookings.
